Woman of Ambition
Defined as a woman aged 21 or younger who has made significant contributions to her community, but who has not yet reached the highest levels of advancement. This is a young woman of excellence who is goal-oriented, confidence inspiring, displays integrity, and is committed to excellence.
Public and/or community service
Demonstration of leadership
Creation and implementation of unique initiative(s)
Involvement with alma mater or other local colleges and universities
Woman of Vision
Honors the work of a woman in the nonprofit sector that exhibits the following:
Identifies needs in her community
Galvanizes others to respond with a solution

Woman of Empowerment
Defined as a woman who has advanced to a higher level or leadership position within a business, corporation or organization. Titles include, but are not limited to partner, owner, elected official appointee, executive, etc.

Mary Young Cummings Award
This award is given in honor of the late champion for justice, Mrs. Mary Young Cummings, a champion of civil rights, women's rights and for maximizing the voting strength of African-Americans. Her belief was that we are only as rich as our poorest neighbor, strong as our weakest elder, or as educated as our most struggling student. Her legacy was her commitment to fighting the ones who were considered the least those.
